Old Playground Pavilion

The Old Playground Pavilion costs $120 per day to reserve and capacity of the site is 75 visitors. The pavilion includes a small barbecue pit and is wheelchair accessible.

For a large event capacity, it can hold up to a maximum of 150 total visitors for an additional $50 rental fee and $50 refundable deposit.

The 2024 Pavilion and Picnic season runs from Saturday, March 16, through Sunday, November 3.
Reservations will be available online anytime or over the phone during business hours starting January 2, 2024.

about the Old Playground Pavilion

Built in 1870-71 at a cost of $1,175 based on plans by Eugene Greenleaf, the octagonal Playground Pavilion is characterized by a distinctive blue bell-cast metal roof topped by a domed cupola and supported on broad round-topped arches adorned with ornamental scrollwork. The playground and croquet lawn are both on the north side of Main Drive.
